"Alfalfa"
"We
now call him "Alfalfa" (Al or Alphie for short) because the hair
on the top of his head always sticks up. We have our trainer over once
a week and "Al" has already learned sit and stay.
He got off to a rocky start with the cat but they are warming up to each
other. Right now, he has no problem with her and all he would
like to do is play with her! She is a little more careful around
him and will not get too close. Hopefully, next time you are in
town for a show, you can come over and visit."

Just wanted to let you know that "Ruby's" doing wonderfully! We
just adore her and are so happy to have her in our family. She is
a constant source of joy and entertainment for us. She is doing great
with my niece and nephews and they have become great pals.
She is addicted to ice cubes so whenever she hears the ice maker, she
takes off running for it. We are trying to wean her from it now.
"Ruby" goes just about everywhere with us. She is so easy and so
much fun to travel with. She is great on road trips, but seems to
prefer trips to the bank where she is ready for her treat as soon as we
start to slow down at the drive-up window. I'm sure it's always
nice to know how your dogs are doing and I know it's been a long time
since I've written. I don't think it's possible to love a dog more
than we love "Ruby".

"Kylie"
"I adopted my baby, "Kylie", 2.5
years ago. I met you at the dog show in Fond du Lac in April of 2005,
to pick her up. She is challenging sometimes, as she thinks SHE is
the boss. Yet, in spite of her strong will and being a drama queen, I
love her with all of my heart! She brings us such joy and laughter
that I don't know what I would do without her. I get so many
compliments on her markings and how pretty she is. I thought you
might like to see some current pictures. You will see that she doesn't
like dressing up in her Halloween costume!" (Owner:
Linda)
"Hi Joyce, I'll bet you're wondering about the little fellow--he is
so-o-o-o cute, growing fast, and we're having so much fun.
"Jack" slept in my lap all the way home --we were bonding. We
arrived in Janesville, WI, about 11:30, checked in at our favorite
puppy friendly hotel and in the morning, introduced "Jack Sparrow"
to his nieces and nephews. Since Molly stopped her pouting
they have become great pals and would play or play "fight" for hours
if we didn't stop them. He was very submissive at first, but one
can see that already he is less so. We still have some work to do
on the potty thing, but it's coming."
"Oh, I have to tell you that I purchased the pen from the internet
as you suggested and yesterday, left "Jack" alone while we went
out. When we arrived home both the pen and attached crate were
empty...heart stopping moment...Somehow the little monkey had
climbed over the pen and I found him up in my bedroom ..none the
worse for wear...so much for locking him in the pen." (Owner -

"Hello Joyce, remember us? Back
in 2001, we got "Simey" from you. He has been such a wonderful pet!
He's a clingy, sweet lick monster. He has his moments when we call him
"Slimey Simey". He has been great with our two girls. They are now 13
and 9 yrs old. After some serious searching, we adopted a rescue
from
Alaska. "Happy" was listed on the ECSCA's website. He has been
such a super dog! Again, he and "Simon" are the best of buds. This past
summer, we adopted three kittens, littermates. "Simon" has taken it all
in stride. He has always been gentle with the children. Probably
because you had such a hand in his survival as a pup, he has always
considered himself my dog. Very clingy to mom, and the photo of me with
"Simon" is obviously not me at my best (one of the kids took it) but, it
shows what I mean about being clingy. He's happiest on my lap or at the
least my feet." Owner -Cindy
"Happy
New Year from "Raleigh". He finished his first level of Obedience
in mid Dec., and we start the next level in January. From about 5
months to 8 months he seemed 'possessed' by hyper-energy demons.
However, just in the last week, both Mike and I have noticed a decided
look of maturity with a calm behavior. We love him very much.
I thought you might enjoy some pictures. They are a few months
old." Owned by Alice and Mike Wachter
"Gracie"
"We can't thank
you enough for sharing your baby with us. She is really
special. Our son is completely smitten. We are having
the most wonderful time. The two girls are getting
along great and took to life at our home like they've
always lived here. We renamed Mary Jane, "Gracie" and
the little one has been dubbed "Chloë". They seem to
like their new names and life here is so full again.
We feel very blessed.
" - Sincerely, the Venechuks
"Hi Joyce, here's a photo of
"Murphy" taken right before Christmas of 2009. He is very lively and happy.
but misses his Irish Setter buddy, "Bailey". "Bailey" moved out
when my daughter got married this year. After all, "Bailey", is
her dog even though "Murphy" thought he was his! Thank you so much for
this boy. I don't know what
we would do without him. " - Owner - Sandi Moscato
"As you can see, she has
totally stolen our hearts. She
is a loving, devoted and loyal pet. She makes us laugh everyday.
Thank
you for such a wonderful gift!" Owner - Joan"
"Patti"
"I can hardly believe it's been two weeks since we picked up "Patti".
The house breaking has been going okay with only a few accidents. We also discovered she does not like
the vacuum cleaner. She hid in her crate for half a day. Attached is a picture of Patti in her new home. As you can see, she has chewed the zipper on her bed and it no longer works. If that is all that she chews on we'll be lucky. We have all fallen in love with her already. Great personality."
